Anything involving anteaters is funny.
How are you today? I’m sitting around in my bathrobe, but Frank wants to go outside, so I’ll have to get dressed and find his shoes.
I can sympathize and I've never been in an accident! We lived in very rural central virginia for a dozen years and the curvy, narrow roads, with the mailboxes sticking out, were a constant worry. And that is when nobody else is on the road! If there are even two cars it's a problem, three is trouble.
Hopefully with time all will be well. :0) Good luck to your Eagle-To-Be. I'm sure he'll come through in time. I love to hear these stories. It give me hope for the future. There's enough rotten news these days.
I know what you mean ... I read most of the news stories and think, “This can’t be happening. I’m going to wake up soon.” We have to concentrate on the good stuff if we’re not going to go nuts.
My husband starts a new job tomorrow, and the Undead Thread is still here, with some of FR’s best people AND flamingoes!
Good morning.
I had a lot of pain in my left knee (the one I tweaked when I took a three-point landing on your kitchen floor,) probably from trudging uphill, so I was lying down by 1:45. There was not much on TV, so I just curled up with a good book and spent the rest of the day with my knee relaxed.
I’m going to try and get to church today, but the signs are not good.
(All the walking I’ve done has lost me a cool 22 pounds.)
Good luck! We watched “Death on the Nile” last night. I fell asleep just as the murderer was exposed.
I wish I’d lost 22 lbs.! Maybe I should try walking to Walmart every day. Oh, that reminds me, I need to get some sausage out of the freezer.
Congrats to DP on the new job! I’m sure it is a relief for all.
There is lots of good news...The sun is shining here and finally peeking in my north window for about the next 3 minutes; my son is helping the tornado victims in AR; I didn’t find my name in the obituaries this morning; it’s May, which means two birthdays and a Mother’s Day; and I have a computer FULL of wonderful FRiends!!!
Great news about Bill. It’s hard to believe he’s 17. Wow. I love Eagle Scouts.
Yes, it is hard to believe Young Beau is 17. He doesn’t remember when he was just as weedy (and almost as flaky) as Pat, but I do ;-).
Ay ay ay, off to get dressed, find Frank’s shoes, and sing to Bill so he’ll get out of bed and feed the dragons and give poor Slash his bath. I’ll send you some socks this week; I see them sitting in the file rack.
And I'm coming home.
I've been waiting for May. Never thought it would get here. :-D
From my place to the PO, then to Walmart, and then to the bus stop is about three miles, all but four blocks are downhill.
I’ve cut my time from 35 minutes to the PO to 25, and now I’m hardly winded by the time I get to the bus stop. And I have a long stride ~ automatically ~ when I walk. A holdover from when I was a lot younger, I guess.
I thought of getting a bicycle, then I could put it on the bike rack on the bus and come home. It now takes me more time to come home than it does to get where I need to go.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
YAY!!!!
Thanks for a job well done! We appreciate you!!

Visiting home, or really “coming back”?
I'm finishing my current mission and coming home to try and take root again. :-D
If I do another overseas assignment, it won't be 'til early '12.
But maybe I'll have taken root by then.
The world is a better place with you in it!
PMJI, but I'd also recommend some careful evaluation of what I suspect will be a serious ramping up of the risk factors in overseas assignments. I fully expect things in the ME to really "heat up" soon, and if the lids stays on long enough for Obama to win re-election, then all bets are off. I'd at least wait to see if he can be defeated before re-committing to another assignment.
Good luck with the root! It commonly took me more than two years to root after a move. Now we’ve been here almost 8 years, longest I’ve lived anywhere in my life, and they can carry me out in a pine box.
Does either of you know what we did with the cats’ flea drops? It’s time!
Holy hell...
Anteaters have discovered body armor. We are in for a world of hurt..
Why thank you kind FRiend and likewise!
I go where God leads me.

It's always in the last place you look. ;-)
