The most under-reported content of this whole story.
I seem to recall Alan Colmes saying the same stuff a couple years ago when he was removed from Hannity’s show.
Both of them were hurting ratings so they are gone or going.
And I’m sure major annoyances to Roger Ailes.
I seen references to lower ratings, but my first question has to be: What does Fox have that will pull in better ratings, especially in that time slot?
Here come da Judge.
And there go your ratings ...
He has always been a radio guy. That’s where his real passion is. The TV shows were ways to get the message out further. He has done well, but it is time to get back to his roots.
His show is the 3rd ranked show in all cable news. He beats prime time on the other channels in a Time slot where people even on the east coast are not home from work. Don’t let the facts get in the way.
He has dropped nearly 33% from his previous high.
Plus the thing has become t-e-d-i-o-u-s.
If you like it you like it but quite a few viewers no longer do, judging from the ratings decline.
Beck was at his best doing exposés of ACORN and showing the NPR tapes.
The paranoid connecting of varied problems, dangers, and threats around the world just gets grotesque after a while.
I stopped watching because I heard the name “Van Jones” repeated once too often. Nobody else on the right gives two poots about Van Jones but Beck acts like the WH Regime is run by him.
To each his own. That’s what it comes down to.
AND the dancing in the streets by his enemies will be short lived.Once they realize it never really was about Beck—Glenn was just a messenger who dares tell a Truth they are very much afraid of allowing anybody hear. They could not discredit the truth Glenn Beck tells -so like good little Nazi they attacked the messenger.
bump
He's just doing the Alinsky thing: Freeze a target, personalize it, demonize it.
I would wager that Judge Nappy would get the 5:00 ratings up where they were a year ago if given the chance.
If they want to mix in some John Stossel hours that would be fine with me too.
Beck has become a parody of himself. He needs to be off the air now so that when the apocalyptic end does not come he doesn’t need to explain himself.
I have developed a love/hate relationship with the Beck show. I love the information and hate the preaching. I’ve found that for the information; if I tune in once a week; I’ve missed nothing. As soon as he starts preaching I’m out of there. Some days are more preachy than others, I often pick the wrong day to watch.
People are over-playing the ratings thing. His ratings are down from last year but last year was a very important and intense election year. Everyone’s cable ratings are down from last year for the same reason.
I don’t watch him every day, maybe once or twice a week, but he still has double or triple the audience his competitors do at that time slot.
He’s a lot better on the TV than he is on the radio. His radio program is horrible. The producing is horrendous and the whole “get down on your knees and buy gold now!” routine is very tiresome. What he says and predicts very well may happen at some point. But nobody takes him serious because he and his cohorts sound like a bunch of junior high kids. Hell, I can never tell just who is speaking half the time because they all sound alike and all have the same very childish sense of humor.
I agree with him on the vast majority of issues. But it is one crappy radio program.
Very, very unsuccessfully. Possibly even dishonorably.
