Kucinich plans to defund Libya War Effort
Foxnews

Posted on 03/27/2011 11:05:23 AM PDT by ConservativeMan55

Kucinich was just on Foxnews. Says he and several others plan to move forward with legislation to defund what we're doing in Libya now.

He says it doesn't matter if Obama checked with the Arab League. Or with the United Nations. He needs to check with our Congress first. (As Bush did)

He wants a wider discussion about the powers of the President.

Crickets chirping from the Republicans in congress about Libya. They can let Kucinich and other dems talk about impeachment and defunding BUT where had the republicans been coming out and expressing that the US have no idea who the rebels are?

And where are the republicans in congress now that we know those rebels we're supporting are Al Qaeda?

Yeah, me too. At least he was consistent in admitting this war isn’t all that just.

It looks like Kucinich and Ron Paul are heading up this effort.

I think it must be defunded. It is grossly unconstitutional. It is a rouge act by a dictator. Where is congressional approval of the war? Why are we responding to the damned United Nations as if they tell us how to spend our money. This cannot stand. Obombus must be impeached NOW!!

I hate to say I agree with Kookcinich but there is a right way to go about it, going to Congress first as Bush did (yea, we can argue about the wording and details but he did go to Congress for approval).

However, this does have to be done in the right way so that if we have any assets already in harms way, they are not left out in the cold. Don’t abandon those in the theater.

That's because he is right.

They don't call the GOP the stupid party for nothing.

Obama starts an illegal war without going to congress and they don't even care.

what if Obama planned this

if he knew the outcome of what would happen
that he predicted something like this would occur

because this man always has a reason for doing something

Where the devil is the Republican leadership on this? Who'd have thought that Kucinich would lead the charge, while the Republicans wimp out completely?

NO, guys, we should not be helping Muslim terrorists take over North Africa and the Middle East. It is NOT in our national interest to fight on behalf of our worst enemies.

well its universal fact on here that Obama does things for a certain reason

im thinking that he already knew someone would get pissed about this and start threatening him and Operation Odyssey Dawn

but i know he has something hiding in his sleeves, something that he’ll pull at the exact right time

what do you think?

Republicans better not get complacent about their own jobs, oh wait they already are and always have been. The Tea Party’s job is not done.

Ohhh.. let me jump in here. I truly believe that the only desired outcome from Obama's perspective is the complete, total and humiliating defeat of the US Military. He's engineering another Vietnam.

I went over to DU this morning and I saw very little outrage about nobama’s war. A couple of threads but I expected ALL their heads to be exploding over Libya. I guess it is OK to fight a war as long as you are not Bush.

Go Kookcinish go!
