I agree that it’s not a crackpot notion. The Moon/Earth system has a strong internal gravity effect on itself (does that make sense?). You can see it in the tides.

The Sun has a much more moderate effect. If we didn’t have a Moon, there would still be small tides.

Everything else in the Universe might as well not be there gravitationally. They are insignificant as far as tidal effects are concerned.

SYZYGY. One of my favorite Astronomy terms. One of the former members of our club had that as his license plate.

Well, that was very good bad wine IMO.

Fosters Ale isn’t that bad to taste but they add coloring so I refuse to drink it.

"ABC News is using C2C's Michio Kaku as an "expert" on nuclear plants"

I used to really admire Kaku's brains, but the more I watched, the less SENSE he seemed to have. I never could figure out how people like astrophysicists, who must be smarter than half the world at any given time, could fall for such buncombe as AGW. Oh, well...

Animals—wild and otherwise—seem to sense many things like this. We noticed especially strange behavior from bobcats, possums and even our pets just before a huge tornado outbreak one year. We guessed it was because of atmospheric changes they can sense, but which we don’t.

I like Canadian beer brewed in Canada, Molson. I know its a liscence thing but it cracks me up and most don’t know it comes from Canada. I drink a few times a year, today and I had Killian’s and Newcastle (great English brew.) Octoberfest I’ll have some nasty, thick German beers and the other times it will be Molson Golden. Ah that’s Canada! I like them all warm and Newcastle is even a little fuzzy. Octoberfest beer I just can’t seem to remember but it must have been great!

Two of the best beers in Canada that can't be had in the US:

My squirrels have been acting completely bonkers lately, different ones like rock squirrels coming over to go fight club with the native brown squirrels every day now on the roofs and decks.

Thanks, next time I visit I’ll have them. They look good and the wife and I may go to Niagra and Windsor soon.

Yeah, well, I’m thinking that perhaps one of the best indicators of strange events might be the squirrely behavior of some Freepers. On this thread, the needle is hitting “tilt.”

I watched this video and he did a good job explaining the gravitational pull of Elenin. Some believe that it is actually a dwarf star (not a comet) and during its elliptical orbit it will put enormous gravitational strain on earth. Freaky how the line ups have triggered quakes so far. I watched the woman’s video too, but she was all over the map and far less compelling.

If this is true, I just hope the projected orbit is off enough to nullify any effects on us. I’m usually not an alarmist on stuff like this, but this one seems mysterious and odd.

Berkland started this back in the 80’s by tracking missing dog ads in the paper. His track record is spotty at best.
