VANITY...Is Federal Intervention Possible RE Wisconsin and Ohio Union Legislation?

OK...calling all FReeper legal and constitutional experts.

In theory, could the Departments of Justice and Labor, in conjunction with the Department of Education, could file an injunction based on the fact that schools, being recipients of some federal funds through transfer payments to the states, fall under federal protection, including labor agreements? This, IMHO, would be blatantly unconstitutional, but it would tie the states up in at least three levels of federal courts before it hit the Supreme Court. We're talking years of litigation.

Anything is possible with Zero and Holder running the show.

Exactly what I was thinking. And the MSM would push it hard.

They’re suing Arizona for trying to protect their border, I wouldn’t put anything past Obama.

And we know that with this crew in DC, unions trump illegals.

Some could be illegals in the union... and jihadists too. Creme de la creme.

Is it unconstitutional for an entire political party to coordinate action and flee the jurisdiction they swore oath to represent, in effort to block legislative action through their absence...?

We shall see, as this is the new thing coming down.

I hope they try. It would be a great PR disaster for the commie-in-chief.

I agree, but once again, we are the ones who would pay, in litigation costs and by being forced to keep the status quo until SCOTUS gets through it in three or four years.

The Communists started their revolution with the same type of behavior in Russia and China. I look for the same thing to happen in many other states.

They will use any excuse to show that the states exist only because the federal government says so. Of course, LIB states are exempt from persecution. Until they step out of line. Say, mandatory Mohammedan prayer in public schools.

The regime is at war with the states. When will we wake up and realize that the republic is in dire danger.

Article IV says the feds are supposed to “guarantee to each state a republican form of government...”

When THE LOSERS walk out because they know they are getting their fannies whacked, that is not a republican form of government.

That’s a bunch of crybabies!!

The feds could use the department of agriculture to intervene on the basis that the unserved school lunches were affecting grain futures.

At present, having seen the Obama WH try to walk back their previously obvious support for labor in WI, I wouldn't this so.

That said, would they like to? You betcha!

Would it further damage their chances in 2012? Yes...and they know it!
