5 Browns Dad Pleads Guilty to Sexually Abusing Famous Daughters

UPDATE: Keith Brown has just pleaded guilty today to sexually abusing his daughters when they were children. The 5 Browns patriarch is facing 10 years to life on a sodomy charge and up to 15 years for two counts of sexl abuse. Per the Salt Lake City Tribune, sentencing is set for March, however, in a deal worked out with prosecutors, the sentences are expected to run concurrently.

The father of Utah's classical piano-playing sibling sensations the 5 Browns has been charged with sexually abused three of his daughters.

My wife has several of their albums. I hadn't heard anything about this until today. Tragic. I hope this guy gets what is coming to him in prison.

So sad. I have to say that it was brave in my opinion for the girls to come forward after learning that their father was going to be a manager for up and rising talented kids. Letting the world know what happened to them had to be gut wrenching. How many other children did they save by this one action?!

This is the kind of story that makes you wonder how people think we have advanced as a society over the centuries. If you were traveling through, say medieval Europe, and saw flames overtaking a guy who is being burned at the stake while a crowd mills around; you might ask "so, what's the story with this guy?". You're told "he raped his own children, so we burned him as a devil". You'd say "Okay" and be on your way.

Seems like they were more civilized then.

They were brave... it must have been hard for them. Even if they only saved one child it was worth it. They must wish someone had had the courage to saved them...
