While I TOTALLY agree with the sentiment, I more in favor of them being dead than them suffering. So if I can remove some ACLU lawyers objections to “pain and suffering” and remove the waste of oxygen from this planet .... it is a trade off I will make in a heart beat.
I must add that executions should be pubic so that everyone can see that justice has been served. Public executions might also serve to deter other possible criminals.
Bottom line for me: if you maliciously take a life, yours is forfeit, ASAP.
I like the bullet to the head idea. Even if there’s a bit of a mess, it’s easily cleaned up.
If your Courthouse hasn’t a Tree...
A Gallows works well AND can be built to provide viewings!
This incident happened long time before Ghost came out. She said the guy literally kicked the end of the bed out, splintered it. He saw something.
30 years later and the sentence has still not been carried out. This makes a mockery of the rule of law and the justice system.
And it’s a slap in the face to the families of the innocent victims.
No appeals, no new trials. Hang this scumbag. He’s 32 years over due.
Pal you think the way I do! I’m thinking a nice Eastwing 16 ounce. with a straight claw right between the eyes.
A sharp Guillotine is relatively painless and fast. If that seems too primitive, put them in an airtight cell, and fill it with carbon monoxide. A long drop and a short rope is cheap and fast, but all of this is silly. Any death row convict can be put to sleep painlessly, and killed in numerous ways. Once they are dead, they aren’t going care how it happened. Shoot them in their sleep. Bullets are still cheap.
We seem to be able to put pets to sleep routinely, presumably without pain.
Maybe we should outsource the execution to a vet.
This garbage should be ended immediately. 7.62x39 is 16 cents a shot. Cheap, easy to do, and they could do the whole block in a couple of minutes. Painful? Irrelevant. These animals need to be remanded to the custody of the Almighty to receive the results of the final appeal. Let real justice be done.
Nam Vet
That begs the question of why everyone else didn't see something. It certainly sounds as if he acted as if he saw something. While there's no way to know, the explanation of a terminally ill person hallucinating seems more plausible on the face of it than supernatural bogeymen.
I think that was when Glenn did “Silence of the Lambs”. Not only did he change his opinion and go Conservative he moved his family to Montana or someplace like that way away from the L.A.. Bought guns and said that he wanted to be someplace safe.
Yeah well whatever. The fact is he is seeing something. Whether or not real or imagined. There’s lots of NDE’s out there (Near Death Experiences) but who’s to say different? You might want to do a search on NDE’s. Some of them are pretty interesting.
I will kick in for the adult beverages!
Already have:

Just the one?
Good for Glenn. I think he has daughters, so it was an extra incentive to protect them. I don’t have daughters, but I’ve heard nothing makes a man conservative faster than having one. Don’t know about William Shatner’s politics, but he has FOUR daughters.

Bear in mind that you'll find far more websites which are pro-NDE (so to speak) than ones skeptical of it, but that's the case for just about any pseudoscience. Just as an example, there are literally hundreds of times as many pro-astrology websites than those that debunk it.
