The Donald is Pro Life and is not afraid to take on China. He is slowly checking off boxes on my Presidential Candidate issues list. Even if he runs just to push the implementation on these issues, I would be happy.

Yeah, that’s a new one on me... He was a really nice guy when I met him and yet it surprises me to read this. Very cool.

Yeah Smoot-Hawley! There is nothing in the market so bad that it can not be made worse by government intervention. You should pay 25% more for your carp from WalMart because you are stupid. He runs casinos. He knows stupid.

Sure, Trump is “Pro-Life” like Romney is “Pro-Life”.

“I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban.

Do we really KNOW he is pro-life, or is he just saying so?

Mitt Romney repeatedly said he was pro-life. But he lied, and fortunately we knew he lied.

I’d be delighted to learn this is true, but I’d like a bit more confirmation.

Romney used to be pro-choice, but now he is pro-life. Don't we WANT pro-choice people to change their minds? Who cares what Romney's motivation for switching was, so long as he'd be pro-life when elected? Bob Casey the Younger out in PA is a fake pro-lifer, but ROmeny seems now to be committed to the pro-life cause.

I think my question in #5 is answered in #4. He is NOT reliably pro-life. Which means he would bend with the wind like romney did.

Romney has flip-flopped on several key issues and “coincidentally” just in time for the 2008 GOP Primary season.

For years, Romney PASSIONATELY defended a “woman’s right to choose”, and even tried to out “pro-choice” Ted Kennedy.

Then, he flip-flops just before the primaries, claiming that when the issue of human cloning came up, he realized that we had gone too far???? Give me a break!

I would find Romney more believable if his positions didn't contour themselves to the polling for the office he's running for like Silly Putty. A serious Mormon supporting abortion rights is like an Orthodox Jew supporting a ham and cheese sandwich.

Personally, I wouldn't buy my seafood from Walmart. Especially if it were from China. As for the Smoot-Hawley comment. You are correct that this would be a bad idea if we had Free Trade in place. We don't. We are being rolled like drunks by the Chinese. Do you think we should continue down the current path with the ChiComs? Trump is the only one bringing up the danger about China. Who else is doing that with any credibility? Thanks for your intellectual inquiry nonetheless.

Romney has repeatedly said that he is proud of Romneycare. Yet Romneycare contains two VERY questionable provisions. One is that a place on the Romneycare board is reserved for Planned Parenthood—the only organization to get such consideration. The other is that it provides for cheap, taxpayer subsidized abortions.

So, that’s not just a matter of saying something. Romney is directly complicit with killing more babies in Massachusetts. And he did this not long before he left the governorship and started running for POTUS.

I agree with you on that. “Free trade” is biased against us in our trade with almost every country in the world. When America was a financial superpower, we thought we could afford to do that, to help others out.

We can’t. It is destroying our country.

The alternative to being pro-life is to be pro-death. It’s not a matter of choice.

>>> A serious Mormon supporting abortion rights is like an Orthodox Jew supporting a ham and cheese sandwich.<<<

This is another reason that I find it almost impossible to believe that Romney has truly changed his views on abortion.

If he had claimed a relgious conversion, or grew up in a Liberal church denomination that was “pro-choice”, and claimed he didn’t know any better until he studied the issue, I’d be more likely to buy it.

But, when a man grows up in a faith and takes a position in direct opposition to the teachings of that religion, and defends that position passionately for decades, when it is politically expedient to do so, and then flip flops the instant that become expedient, I simply do not trust him.

Yep...I remembered his stance from the last time he tested the waters in 2000. Certainly, I'm always happy to hear about pro-choicers coming around to support life, but when it coincides with political convenience, I'm always a little suspicious about their sincerity.

IMHO, Trump is Rudy Giuliani with some private sector sensibilities.

To his credit, I don't think there are any photos of him out there in drag.

Every problem is easy to solve if you are “intellectual” enough to convince the gullible public some bogey man or monster is to blame. I bet you fell for the old “dumping” myth too.

I live in Allentown, PA. The headquarters to Mack Trucks and Bethlehem Steel used to be here. I say used to be because they are now gone. They went to where it is cheap to make steel and build trucks. Renault bought Mack. The steel plants just closed.

Since I have taken note that all of the steel products I now get are made in China, I am guessing that the jobs might be over there now. That does not seem to be some sort of paranoid notion. Could you direct me on the myth of China producing many of the products we used to make here? Could you also point out were I can find evidence that the Chinamen are not manipulating the Yuan to make their expansion possible while we continue to contract?

I am just curious because being the stupid person I am, I think China is a threat to the United States. Bitter clinging xenophobe ideas. You on the other hand have proof that the Chinamen are just another Free Trading partner of course.
