The Gore Ice Age Cometh
Various weather.gov, accuweather.com, foxnews.com | January 30, 2011 | Vanity

Posted on 01/31/2011 10:33:16 AM PST by topher

Pardon the vanity!

But with the weather this winter, we need to talk more about Global Warming just to warm people up!

Some news links about the weather forecast for Ground Hog day (and the day before and after...):

Weather.gov: Blizzard warning for Chicago, IL

Foxnews: Midwest, Plains Brace for Massive Winter Storm

AccuWeather: Blizzard, Ice Storm, Nasty Cold All Aiming for Midwest

Weather.com: Multi-Day Dangerous, Destructive Winter Storm

Forget about Al Gore's Global Warming

Time to start talking about Al Gore's Ice Age

It appears the Al Gore ice age has cometh!

Joking aside, Weather.com is claiming 100 million Americans will be affected by this storm.

Maybe this is a cold thing to do to Al Gore (pun intended)...

Time to make some fun about the weather, as it will make alot of people miserable this week...

Talking about Global Warming and making jokes about it might cheer up folks having to dig cars out of the snow and clear driveways.

South Texas and South Louisiana has not been spared -- they may not have bitter cold weather or ice/snow snow storms, but the possibility of tornadoes...

And it has been cold in South Louisiana this year (really has!)

When it's hot outside they point to it as proof of global warming. When we're covered in snow (and point out that fact) they say we're confusing weather with climate. Can't win with this cult.

Moonbats are moonbats.

The local community newsletter features a gardening columnist who is an earth-worshipping ditz.

Her latest article assured readers that “Global Warming” was just a misnomer, and that what we’re really experiencing is Climate Change. But not just Climate Change, a Climate Change CRISIS!

This is fact because “many scientists subscribe to the notion.”

I felt like writing a reply to the editor, thanking her for enlightening the rest of us, but had already thrown the paper away.

I'm hearing grocery stores from Chicago eastward are crammed with pre-storm shoppers.

NASA's Hansen - Dictatorship can save the Earth

Snips:
As the tortured science which is invoked to support the theory of anthropogenic climate change continues to lose its credibility in the eyes of the American public, it appears that some of the theory’s advocates are weighing the virtues of using blunt force to impose the changes they believe are necessary to "save the world." Consider, for example, Dr. James Hansen (left) of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies, who seems to believe that Western freedoms may be part of the problem, and that Chinese tyranny may be able to lead the way to a greener future.

This is what the environmental movement has come to: hoping a totalitarian power will credibly threaten the United States with economic destruction so that the bleak economic future envisioned by green fanatics can be imposed by the people of the West.

Wonder what's up with the old nutcase now that he left his wife. I he were a republican the media would be snooping to his every move. I mean, after all the old codger won a Nobel Prize - his life is important to us. What 20 year old is he dating these days? Just curious fellas. MSM aren't you the least bit curious or are you covering up for your leftist nutcases as usual? Just say’in;)

It's a great scam...
If it gets warmer: GLOBAL WARMING
If it gets colder: Global Climate Change
If it stays the same: Global Climate Change is Coming...

Where is all this global warming? DFW area is hosting the Super Bowl in less than a week and for much of this week it’s going to more like Pittsburgh or Green Bay than North Texas. At least our guests will feel at home.

What I find exceptionally curious is the lack of curiosity from the MSM. You know that if Algore were a Republican, we'd get weekly updates, 600 power lens photos, etc.

“many scientists subscribe to the notion.”
Didn’t scientist all agree the earth was flat at one time?
Didn’t scientists agree the sun revolved around the earth?
Didn’t scientists agree that bloodletting was healthy for the body?
But this time it is different all the scientists paid to study global warming agree. There is global warming.

My thoughts exactly. The MSM is so obviously leftist I can understand anyone in their right mind listening to them. Who knows maybe Wikileaks will have something (yeah, right). But, when they herd like a bunch of pigs to slop to Alaska to find our if Sarah's husband had an affair with a 300 pound bimbo - now that is news but if Goreman has 200 hookers running in and out of his house at any given time it would be his right and his business. MSM are hypocrites.

Good points.

When my (then) 5th grade son came home from school with an assignment to find an article on “global warming,” I sent him back to school with a 1973 National Geographic containing dire warnings of the “coming ice age.”

His teacher sent me a thank you note, and told me she used the article to help support a “scientists don’t know everything” discussion. Turns out she was a skeptic, too, and had printed out a few global warming skeptic articles herself.

NY Times columnist Tom Friedman believes this too -- he's constantly pining for a Chinese-style dictatorship for America.

Scratch an liberal environmentalist and you'll find the fascist underneath, every time.
