clooney has the world in the palm of his hand. He could live like a raja anywhere he wanted to. Instead he puts his own safety and welfare on the line to highlight a struggle for freedom from a totalitarian muslim government. And all you brave souls can do is criticize him...and you do it without any apparent sense of how small it makes you. I dislike him because of his extreme anti-American attitude... and that's my choice.

Clooney loves totalitarian goverments. He has a fetish for “negotiating” with( giving in to) them.
Clooney is a Utopian who is histrionic, or in other words, a fascist.
Loony Clooney fits Jonah Goldbergs definition of a fascist , set out in the last chapter if his book,”Liberal Fascism.”
Or do you read much? Got a tingle down your leg like Chris Matthews? I can easily remedy that.
George Clooney is nothing more than an unpatriotic, cowardly, treasonous socialist Utopian with delusions of grandeur, and is a nuisance to everybody, including himself.

You may dislike whom you please, that's no big deal. I have no use for him either.
But facts are facts and the fact is that the reason we are even writing on this thread is because he became ill while volunteering, at his own expense and safety, to highlight a people's fight for freedom.
To some here that's nothing but an opportunity to show how small they are...

Did he go without taking the malaria medicine? You have to start taking it before you travel, keep taking it, and continue after you return. I cant remember for how long. I started mephlaquin (sp) about two weeks before going to Afghanistan. At the end of the deployment, the med tech gave me a different pill that was supposed to wipe out any parasites that I might have carried.
I also pretreated my uniforms with permethrin.

I also had to get a yellow fever shot as I recall. The quinine pills (or whatever they were) had no ill effects on me at all, so that was no big deal.
