You guys should have won two titles this year, after USC lost their 2004 title, it should have gone to Auburn.

That was a well fought game by both teams. Did Dyer get the MVP?

The same for me. Ohio State beat a pretty good Arkansas team. They deserve to be up there.

Who will get the trophy — Oregon or TCU — when the NCAA lowers the boom?

Fairley should have been MVP, he was dominant.

First of all, congrats to Auburn. They were the better team by a FG on the last play of the game. But that's all.
Secondly, I guarantee you that Chip Kelly would have been gracious and complimentary of Auburn in victory had Oregon been the team making that kick on the last play of the game. Auburn's coach came off quite classless, not even acknowledging that there was another team on the field tonight, much less one that very nearly won the National Championship.
Finally, as I've often seen in other championship football games, the field was a joke. I don't know why the groundskeepers over-water a natural grass field for Super Bowls and a game like this, but you see it all the time. It is very dangerous for the players, as we saw numerous players for both teams slip and twist knees and ankles. It also ruins plays designed for quick cuts. Whoever was responsible for that debacle of a field should have been fired 2 minutes into the game. I knew when I saw the Oregon return man slip on the opening kick off it was going to be a problem for the entire game, which it was. The fact that ESPN never pointed out that there was a problem with the field was a gaping hole in their coverage. I don't know if a dry, fast field would have made a difference in who won the game or not, but it probably would have made for a more exciting, interesting game. I hope that game will be a lesson for groundskeepers in charge of natural grass fields for future National Championship Games and Super Bowls, but then again I hope that every time I see it happen.

That is not true. The final is still on. He had praising words for Oregon. I am sorry you lost.

I love the SEC. But I don’t understand those Alabama teams. Can’t they figure out what they’re going to call themselves? Is Auburn a war eagle or a tiger? Alabama is a red wave with a gray elephant for the mascot. Make up your minds!
Even though I have to say “God love a duck”, I also have to say SEC RULES!
To: GLDNGUN
The field was an absolute disgrace.

Best championship game since USC/Texas? Was pulling for the Ducks, but Auburn was impressive.
To: Alas Babylon!
OK but can they beat TCU? We’ll never know.

AUBURN got lucky and received to bonus calls from the Refs. The win is tainted, that is, if you still want it.
To: SeaHawkFan
WTF?
TCU is preseason number one. Until someone actually manages to beat them.

I guess you watched more coverage than I did, which was the post-game interview and his trophy acceptance speech. THAT would have been the appropriate time to volunteer some acknowledgment that Oregon gave his team all they could handle. I'm guessing when he "praised" Oregon it was after being asked a leading question?

Oregon was gifted a TD from the pick play.
I agree with Chizik, the Ducks were outclassed. They played horrible the whole game, and the score at the end didn’t reflect the distance between them and Auburn.
Sure wish we could get a real championship game between TCU and Auburn.
