Think?!?!?!
I still say they should have hired the red head assistant from Penn State. Not sure, think McCreary is his name.
Gee, who would have ever thought this would happen? I don’t watch football anymore but I was watching a replay of a college game and a stupid conerback speared a guy with his helmet and the defense was penalized and this other team scored a field goal and tied the game and sending it into overtime. Now if the dip$hit didn’t hit the reciever with his helmet, North Carolina wouldn’t have scored a field goal. Football is ruined because the A$$holes can’t contain themselves and have good sportsmanship.
Oh geez. I really feel for the Pitt fan base.
We just got through our coach search and there was a lot of talk about Tom Bradley from Penn State. At the top of my list, though, was Frank Cignetti, the old OC at Pitt.
Either way, being a college coach is a lot more than the X’s and O’s, or the Jimmys and Joes, it’s molding young men into successful scholars, athletes, and citizens. Unfortunatley, too many have forgotten that.
We have a local newspaper columnist who got drunk, slapped his wife once, threatened her to the point she called 911 and then he ripped the phone off the wall and hurled it. He was arrested but eventually had the domestic battery charge dropped after he agreed to enter an alcohol rehab program. He admits he did all of the above, yet he adamantly and indignantly denies he’s a wife beater. Are you allowed one mulligan?
As always, it depends on what she did.
Sounds like Pitt hired a real class guy. St. Joseph County is Notre Dame. Was this guy an ND assistant?
Of all the days to get arrested, I would think that New Years Eve would be the last day one would want that to happen..........and on a FRiday no less.
Haywood was the offensive coordinator for Notre Dame.
Well, you know you can come home after busting your butt at work for 12 hours, and find the butcher, the baker and the candlestick maker on top of your wife.
She can jump up, get in your face and call you everything but a white man, and insult your lineage going back ten generations.
And if she so much as breaks a nail during the berating, you'll get hauled off for domestic battery. She'll get a restraining order. You'll lose your right to own a firearm, plus the house, plus the kids, and you'll be eating pork and beans and living in a one bedroom apartment for the next ten years.
Well that ain't right . So I take these "domestic complaints" with an 80 pound bag of rock salt. YMMV.
I like your style.
Thanks.
yeah, plus 1. been thru it.
HOpefully they threw his sorry rear end in with the local New Years eve drunks.
Pitt fires new coach Mike Haywood (ESPN.com)
Another man who doesn’t marry a woman he knocks up. Great character. Not a big stretch to think he attacked the woman if he has no more respect for her than that.
Had Pitt not fired him it would have sent a note of approval of his actions which were deplorable.
As the leader of such a program you just can’t have that rep.
Maybe as the leader of a motorcycle gang.
