Your complaint is semi-valid at best. Think about it, if someone complained that they were watching the Playboy channel on Christmas morning and saw naked women, wouldn’t you first ask why they were watching the Playboy channel on Christmas morning? Yours is exactly the same scenario. Spike isn’t family friendly and it doesn’t pretend to be. It’s playing Star Wars because of its appeal to a cult following of adult nerds, which happens to be Spike’s audience.

My ears are burning. I wonder why?

I think it’s a pretty valid complaint he has. In years past, networks like TBS, USA, TNT, etc., had these kinds of movie marathons on holidays, including “Star Wars,” old and new. And, to many people, especially casual tv-viewers, it’s easy to lump SpikeTV into that kind of channel mix. Indeed, during the daytime, don’t they ALL run the same kind of movie programming? All those channels ‘look’ the same nowadays. It would be very easy to be blindsided.

What adult hasn't already seen Star Wars at least ten times already?
