Can we all agree with this?

...and now he gets to live a comfortable life as we pay for his retirement and benefits while he probably lobbys or consults his way into doing more damage to America before he leaves this earth.

Arlen Specter, outgoing senator from Pennsylvania, personified the sort of elite, politically opportunistic, government careerism that the American people have grown to so justifiably loathe.
A perfect one sentence summation of a fop's career.

Arlen Specter, author of the physically impossible “magic bullet” fraud, should be in prison for life, or hung by his rotten neck, for being an accessory after the fact to the JFK assassination.
He knowingly participated in the cover-up, and is guilty of high treason for doing so.
I can’t stand looking at the creepy, lying fraud. POX of the House of Specter for seven generation!
Any Questions?

We need some kind of big bash for this. It should be like a great hero’s salute, with bands, parades and lavish parties. Only the exact opposite.

I hope this anti-elitist attitude continues to spread throughout this nation. There is a lot of house (and Senate) cleaning left to do.

I will say one kind word for Arlen Specter: At least he wasn’t afraid of his constituents and held regular town hall meetings. That’s something Bob Casey Jr. would never do.

I notice that Specter continues to vote with the very same Democrats who betrayed him and against the Republicans who stood by him six years ago. Oh well.

From the Magic Bullet theory to his switching parties at the very end. There is not one good thing you could put on his gravestone. National Review once stated he was the most disliked Senator personally by both sides of the isle. May he fade into obscurity so I never have to hear about this POS again.

You Joe Hoeffel fans make me sick!! Look, I don't like Arlen Specter either but the bottom line is that he is ONLY kind of Republican who can WIN in a state like Pennsyvania. You can't deny that Arlen Specter is ELECTABLE in a very deep blue state. Look at the record: this state voted for Clinton twice, Gore, Kerry, and then Obama! You purists think we're gonna elect Jesse Helms clones in every state in America. A RINO like Specter is the best we're ever gonna get out of a state like that.
Your choice is either 75% (Specter) or 0% (Hoeffel). It's a no brainer to vote for Specter. He may be a RINO but he is OUR RINO. Specter is WITH US when it counts!! In BLUE STATES like Pennsyvania, we need RINOs to stop the Democrats from taking control of the Senate! Say what you want about Specter but he is a vote AGAINST a Democrat majority leader. Arlen Specter has been a loyal GOP Senator since 1981, it's not like he's going to suddenly endorse Obama or anything. If Specter wanted to switch parties, he would have done so a long time ago.
We need to focus on our RED STATES. Run conservatives in red states, support RINOs in blue states, THAT is the key to victory. Don't ask me how, I'm not good at math.
I like Pat Toomey but he is only hurting OUR party by challenging the one Republican who can WIN Pennyvania. Whether you far right-wingers accept it or not, the bottom line is that Pat Toomey WILL NEVER WIN a state like Pennysvania!! In fact, he'd be lucky to get 30%. He got, like what, 3% in the GOP primary? Face it guys, Toomey is a loser.
