His departure SHOULD have taken place a nanosecond after he came up with the magic bullet theory.
yep
Arlen responds, “Just spell my name right on my huge lifetime monthly retirement checks”.
Good riddance to Snarlin’ Arlen. Remember well: The NRSCC supported him against (Now Senator!) Toomey!
Ping to bury him.
Your choice is either 75% (Specter) or 0% (Hoeffel). It's a no brainer to vote for Specter. He may be a RINO but he is OUR RINO. Specter is WITH US when it counts!! In BLUE STATES like Pennsyvania, we need RINOs to stop the Democrats from taking control of the Senate! Say what you want about Specter but he is a vote AGAINST a Democrat majority leader. Arlen Specter has been a loyal GOP Senator since 1981, it's not like he's going to suddenly endorse Obama or anything. If Specter wanted to switch parties, he would have done so a long time ago.
We need to focus on our RED STATES. Run conservatives in red states, support RINOs in blue states, THAT is the key to victory. Don't ask me how, I'm not good at math.
I like Pat Toomey but he is only hurting OUR party by challenging the one Republican who can WIN Pennyvania. Whether you far right-wingers accept it or not, the bottom line is that Pat Toomey WILL NEVER WIN a state like Pennysvania!! In fact, he'd be lucky to get 30%. He got, like what, 3% in the GOP primary? Face it guys, Toomey is a loser.
< / thoroughly discredited, pro-RINO talking points used on FR to promote scumbag liberals>
(Sorry, I couldn't resist posting my imitation of the RINO cheerleaders here again. I've been listening to Mark Kirk's fan club the past week and they're recycling the above garbage from 2004 and simply inserting Kirk's name in their talking points. ;-))
You're kidding? He has a fan club?
He should be #1 on the to-be-primaryed list.
I know. He hems and haws and tap dances around any difficult questions, but at least he shows up to face the music. Unlike Casey Jr.
That extra “P” in POPS stands for “Progressive”
Beautifully done!!! Thanks!
As Specter Switches, the Ira Einhorn Saga Deserves Wider Mention
Between serving on the Warren Commission and becoming a senator, Specter was twice elected district attorney in Philadelphia, where he earned a tough-on-crime reputation. His most famous case, however, came in 1979, when he was in private practice and thinking about running for the Senate. A man named Ira Einhorn, better known as the "Unicorn," had been arrested for the murder of his girlfriend; she had been missing for a year and a half when police found her mummified corpse squeezed into a trunk hidden in Einhorn's closet.
Einhorn was a celebrated leftist and is credited with helping found Earth Day. He also had strong ties to Philadelphia elites a group of people Specter was cultivating for his prospective Senate campaign when he agreed to become Einhorn's lawyer. Time Magazine recounted the sordid case history in 1997; it's a read the whole awful thing piece if there ever was one.
