Champagne being broken out here at 2 am in Tokyo.

Good question. That's more or less what Gutierrez promised if this Dream Act didn't pass, or at least mass demonstrations and protests.

Manchin (WV-D) did not vote.

There were three more not voting, and Wyden was there before his scheduled surgery. Pretty cowardly of Manchin.

The Dems have been working on Amnesty for 60 years. The have suceeded in bringing in probably 100 millions, but the opposition has gotten stronger. Perhaps someday soon we will close and control our borders.

I remember reading Luis Gutierrez said he was ready to go to jail by taking to the streets protesting, if the Dream Act did not pass, he was willing to spend 6 months in jail, if it helped one dream act family

According to SURVEY USA TV (live steam voting with commentary from the 3-man panel), the ones who showed up knew the cloture vote wasn’t going to pass.

In a cloture vote, not showing up is the same as voting no (for all intensive puposes).

One of the Survey USA commentators stated that Manchin had some big issues with this bill (not to mention Reid trying to cram it down the lame duck congress).

Also the same as voting 'present' as Obama did numerous times in the Illinois legislature. It's usually a coward's way to avoid taking a stand on a controversial issue.

Illegals and their ethnic bigot supporters are going to go ballistic because they’ll conclude that the US holds queers in higher esteem than they.

If they start rioting, I think it’s safe to assume there will be a very forceful response from a great number of American citizens. Think back to what the Korean storekeepers did in Los Angeles in 1992, but exponentially.

Yes the Rats put the Queers on top, threw the Hispanics under the Bus. I guess we know who has the most campaign cash to give.

They won't. They've already won and they know it.

Legalization today means nothing since they have already successfully invaded our land in such numbers that in a mere twenty year it will no longer be America.
