Rats! Kindergarten Students Booted From Class By Rodents

Rat infestation forces students out of classroom.

The rodent frequently visiting several South Florida kindergarten classrooms isn't quite as cuddly and cute as Mickey Mouse and doesn't have teachers smiling like Chuck E. Cheese.

Broward County School officials have been forced to evacuate eight classrooms at Tamarac Elementary because of a severe rat problem, reports the Sun-Sentinel. The rodents have overrun the kindergarten area of the school, forcing the students to a cleaner learning environment in another area. Luckily, students are about to be released for winter break, which gives school officials a couple of weeks to get the rats under control.

School board officials said dozens of the disease carrying animals have already been caught in glue traps and conventional mouse traps, but many more have been seen scurrying about.

It's unclear how the vermin got into the school and were able to spread undetected, but it's clear they weren't trying to get a leg up on their ABCs.

Letting a few cats have a Christmas feast during the break may be in order.

Announce a special election and all the local RATS will show up, along with assorted zombies, etc.

Then sell tickets to a “Rat Shoot”.

Problem solved, and a funding source discovered.

RATS are not a problem, they are a resource awaiting harvest!

Combine Lead Poisoning for the rats with those needing some sort of gun qualification, and it's a win-win...

I was considering posting a rant...but you opened up an opportunity for me.

http://www.environmentalhealthnews.org/ehs/news/rodenticides-endanger-children

This is a link about regulating rodenticides.

This is the law of unintended consequences gone wild.

The long acting anticoagulant involved is minimally toxic when exposed as “just one piece” close to being non toxic.

The baits already have a dye in them..for mouth detection.

The populations involved…Blacks and Hispanics are involved for a reason..They live in rat infested areas…eg densely populated cities.

They don’t mention that of the 18k kids that were seen in the ER… virtually all of them were inappropriate visits.

If they made a free call to their poison center most of them would have been kept home.

From the AAPCC (American Association of Poison control centers) The deaths from the products have all been in adult suicides.

From 1985-2004 there was not a single death in a child under 6 reported to any poison center in the US.

With the caveat that a starving kid might eat the bait…most of the admissions to the hospital were inappropriate.

No where mentioned is that for the long acting anticoagulants there is an antidote…a cheap one that doesn’t require you being in the hospital to get, although it would take a trip to the doctors office for a script.

Now to reach out and grab control by regulating a product that is effective, has a good safety profile…they are going to

Limit availability to the groups that need it most.

So lets watch the howls over increase in rat bites to kids and an increase of rodent borne diseases.

Over regulation has brought back malaria , west nile virus and now they want to bring back plague.

He advanced to the council-table:

And, ``Please your honours,'' said he, ``I'm able,

By means of a secret charm, to draw

All creatures living beneath the sun,

That creep or swim or fly or run,

After me so as you never saw!

And I chiefly use my charm

On creatures that do people harm,

The mole and toad and newt and viper;

And people call me the Pied Piper.''

I’m confident that a perusal of school board records will show that this school district has been under democRAT control since hector was a pup. So if there is ANY complaining by the good taxpayers of the district about the sorry condition of the schools; you know what they say in Moscow!

Tough Schitzky!
