I have an entirely different take on this movie. It seems to me that we've become such a politically correct society (or, at least Finland has), that they can't make a scifi movie about blowing up space aliens. No, the only thing "OK" to kill are Nazis. Oy vey.
Accepted liberal dogma - War movie about killing Nazis = Good. War movie about killing anything else (terrestrial or otherwise) = bad.
It’s plenty ok to kill American military in any movie these days, as in Avatar or its inspiration, Dances With Wolves.
