Leftist Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine is all excited about a new ally - Mark Kirk. Collins told the Kennebec Journal that Kirk joked that he wanted to be a part of the Senate GOP's "Mod Squad." Columnist David B. Offer wrote:
The day after the election, Collins told me she had received a post-election telephone call from Mark Kirk, the Illinois Republican elected to fill the Senate seat once held by President Barack Obama. I cant wait to join your Mod Squad, Kirk told her.
So, from the video below, which one of the U.S. Senate's Mod Squad is our very own Kirk?
Will he be Link, Pete, or Julie?
Barney.
Sadly, even one vote from him that Alxei (his Democratic opponet) wouldn’t have made is a wonderful help.
In fact, just having enough RINOs in the Senate to push the Republicans into the majority would have moved the entire balance of power among all committees, let alone all of the bills and such that came before it.
I’d rather have a Senate with four more RINOs than a Democrat-controlled Senate.
You need to change your attitude. RINOs are a bigger threat than DemonRats.

Had to correct ConservativeMind's post. Now it reflects what really happens when we elect Jim Jeffords and Arlen Specter style "Republicans".
If the Senate is ever split 50-50 and we really "need" Kirk's vote to have a "Republican majority", you'll see.
I predict Kirk will serve one term as a Republican and then switch to the Rat party which will result in him being primaried out ala Arlen Spectre.
As stand by my words. Even one vote that helps a conservative cause is worth it to have that RINO over his Democrat opponent.
We will never get a Democrat to side with us, but we can strong arm a RINO. Scott Brown helped us on 0bamacare, didn’t he? We may not like his other stances, but even that one vote threat in the Senate did wonders for our conservative movement.
That is, “I” stand by my words.
Crud, I need to watch what I delete/don’t delete.
A RINO majority is a pyrrhic victory... and there are numerous Class of 2006 Dems facing reelection in ‘12 who will have to side with us in some key votes if they have the most remote shot of winning reelection.
RINO’s give the MSM “normal” “moderate” Senators to put on their TV shows every weekend, the conservatives in the Senate get marginalized. No, we cannot have ONE RINO in the Senate. They all must go, I will not cast another vote for a RINO. I’m done with that. RINOs give the “moderate” DemonRats cover....
I can’t see voting for a RINO in a primary, but when it is a RINO or an even more deranged leftist Democrat, I will vote for the RINO.
I don’t want any RINOs in office, but when faced with the two evils, one should choose the lesser.
The battle to turn the country back to strong conservatism won’t be won overnight, but we also didn’t get here overnight.
We need to take the incremental “betters” each step, then oust them for a better conservative at the next juncture. It will be an ongoing mission we can’t run from, but we also can’t cave, throwing up our arms saying, “I can’t vote for either.”
From my perspective, Reagan was too liberal for me. But that wouldn’t keep me from voting for him.
A lesser evil is still evil.
Which is why not having Castle could well be a blessing. Don’t want too many of these liberal republicans running around giving the media a chance to lie about “bipartisanship”.
Every vote is for a “lesser evil”.
Nonsense. It’s only a “lesser evil” if the choices are dreadful, and sometimes the choices ARE good ones and not “lesser evils.” But even if they are evil, you have other alternatives and need not be forced to choose either.
