"We gotta have middle class families up in front"
10-26-2010 | Myself

This guy (Obama) is really sick...as our "elected" president...I haven't heard that phrase (sit in the back) since I was a kid...at least never heard it as a direct and meaningful statement...but there he goes...pouring gas on a fire that we have been honestly trying to but out since the '40s...well, Mr president...you have exposed yourself (and I knew it would only be a matter of time)...

I typed a lot more but stopped and erased...I'll keep it simple...you (Mr President) have drawn the line in the sand...it appears because I'm Independent and lean Republican I might be able to sit in the middle of the bus...but I know for a fact if my parents were alive they would be in the back by your direction....

I'm never going to accept that...My father was is a veteran of the old school (both Army and as Christian). You just shot a hole in what he (and our founding fathers I might add) fought and died for because believed in out country and God ...

Nov 2nd can't come soon enough!!!!!

The Kenyan doesn't even deserve a seat on the bus. Unless it's heading for a federal max lockdown joint.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

” He said Republicans had driven the economy into a ditch and then stood by and criticized while Democrats pulled it out.
Now that progress has been made, he said,
“we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun.
We gotta have middle class families up in front.
We don’t mind the Republicans joining us.
They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

He doubled down on the crazy talk on Spanish radio by telling Hispanics that Republicans were their enemy and should be punished.

” And if Latinos sit out the election instead of saying, we’re gonna punish our enemies ..”

New Report Highlights Administration’s Support for Women and Families

Posted by Maureen Tracey-Mooney on October 22, 2010 at 10:52 AM EDT

At the beginning of this Administration, the President tasked Vice President Biden with chairing the Middle Class Task Force to identify and push through measures to help get middle-class families back on their feet.

From day one, the Middle Class Task Force has focused on supporting women in all of the work they do – as caregivers to our nation’s children and the elderly, as leaders in business and increasingly as co-breadwinners in households across the country. With more women entering and remaining in the workforce and more households than ever dependent on two incomes, this work is critical to helping middle-class families regain and maintain their financial security.

Yesterday the National Economic Council released a report, Jobs and Economic Security for America’s Women, which provided even more evidence for why this work is critically important.

The report lays out that in almost two-thirds of families women are either the primary or co-breadwinner in their household. Many women are sole breadwinners. As of December 2009, 2.1 million women whose husbands were unemployed were working as the sole breadwinners for their families. An additional 6.1 million women are single mothers and the sole breadwinners for their families.

As women’s income and employment gains increasing importance in family budgets, their other roles do not disappear. Women are still playing substantial roles as caregivers to their children, parents and family members with disabilities. That means it is more important than ever to support women as they seek to balance these responsibilities.

The report highlights some of the initiatives the Middle Class Task Force championed in the 2011 Budget to provide families with more options as they try to navigate this increasingly delicate juggling act. These aren’t just women’s issues; they are issues of vital importance to every family’s economic security.

Some of our 2011 Budget Proposals:

A near-doubling of the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit for middle-class families. This would result in a $900 increase in the maximum credit available to many middle class families.

$100 million for the Caregiver Initiative at the Department of Health and Human Services, which would help an additional 200,000 caregivers better balance their responsibilities and support one million additional hours of adult day care and three million rides to critical daily activities, taking the strain off women and their families.

$50 million for the State Paid Leave Fund at the Department of Labor, which will provide competitive grants to help cover start-up costs for states that choose to launch paid leave programs.

These are just some of the Administration’s efforts to support women and the middle-class families they support as they seek to regain their footing. To read the report and learn more about the Administration’s efforts to support women and middle-class families, click here.

Full statement...

“We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

That was said by our President

Absolutely Sickening.

Martin Luther King’s dream = A color blind society.
Obama’s dream = America destroyed by deadly race war.

The righteousness of our cause has never been more evident. Obama is evil.

PLEASE keep talking!!! Most people know and understand that this part of American history was wrong but then to use it for political purposes?? You can have the tallest building in town one of two ways. Help others who in turn will help you or you tear everyone's house around you. I'll let you decide which one Dohbama is and what Reagan was.

Got it.

He never really intended to be “post-partisan”. Hussein has been hyper-partisan all along.

His mixed metaphor slang jiving double-talk confuses everyone, especially the Latinos he’s trying to bamboozle.

Omullah is the least presidential person in history — clueless about statesmanship and leadership.

Everything, everything the guy has said is a lie.

I remember BEING on a bus and trying to drag a Black woman to the front. I mean I see this and remember the feeling of everyone.

I remember all of this.

My God.

I was raised in Massachusetts from birth to 9 years old...never knew how to be prejudice...in 1959 my father was transferred to South Carolina...That’s when I saw my first segregated drinking fountains, schools and rest rooms. I wasn’t sure what it meant when I read all the signs (no Negroes allowed...etc) and when I asked my father what was it all about...he had a very hard time explaining it to me.

5 years later I was starting the 8th grade when forced integration took place...I will never forget the fear I saw on those people (blacks) as they got of the bus...my upbringing took command over my peer pressure and my heart literally went out for them...it was just awful and I now think that could have been done in a more civil manner...shortly there after I moved to Ohio...and all that was behind me...physically at least but mentally it was a nightmare for someone like me.

Over the years I have accepted that we were on the correct track...blacks and whites and yellow...whatever...can get along...making some headway...understand each other better...sitting down and talk and have true dialect amongst us...well..,sort of making it like I knew it as a child...

...Then can along the current President...and BAM...said what he said!...

he said, “we can’t have special interests sitting shotgun. We gotta have middle class families up in front. We don’t mind the Republicans joining us. They can come for the ride, but they gotta sit in back.”

I’m sorry but he’s starting to change the way I think...and I sure a lot of others...

I ask you Mr President...Is this what you really wanted me to start thinking....is this the Change you referred to?
