Not many people know who Bilbo was, or Lester Maddox, or Huey Long, or Talmadge. These guys were A-1 crooks and then they jumped over to the other side and became left wing Democrat lapdogs when the winds changed. Wallace almost won the presidency for Hubert Humphrey. Stennis voted against Bork. They were knaves and charlatans.

But the biggest one was Jimmy Carter, who ran for governor blasting Carl Sanders as a liberal, and then ran around talking about MLK’s father as “Daddy King.”

The Ku Klux Klan was the terrorist arm of the Southern Democrat Party. The fact that MLK was a Republican is meaningless, as was Jackie Robinson’s membership.
