Noah Mitchell faces animal cruelty charges for body slamming pet

A Key Largo man is in jail after he allegedly beat his dog nearly to death after it tried to run from him and then stole his steak.

"Bubba," a black Labrador, is in seriously bad shape after his owner, Noah Mitchell, performed a knee drop on the dog and dragged it around by the neck after getting mad at his pet over the weekend.

According to a police report quoting an eyewitness, Mitchell first got angry after the dog tried to run from him outside on Oct. 3.

Once dragged inside, Bubba snatched a steak from the kitchen counter and that set Mitchell off even more.

The man first body slammed the dog on the ground and then performed a knee drop on the canine. Then Mitchell tossed an unconscious Bubba in his cage.

Bubba suffered a collapsed lung, damage to his larynx and fractured ribs, veterinarians said. If Bubba was an hour later getting treatment, he would have died.

The 33-year-old faces animal cruelty charges. As for Bubba, he is being cared for at the South Dade Animal Hospital.

The dog was just being a dog. This guy has an anger management issue.

Someone’s been watching WAY too much wrestling ... he needs to learn a little about boxing ... with 10 oz gloves ... with a pro.

A lab that runs from it’s owner tells me more about the owner than the dog.

The dog was just being a dog. Since they didn’t say the political party affiliation of the owner, it’s safe to assume he isn’t a Republican.

this is why we have such tough animal cruelty laws.

1) to protect animals

2) to identify abusers of animals who a high risk for abuse to children and adults. There then can be further investigation if there is child abuse or other abuse.

3) to use the pressure of the law to mandate a choice for anger management treatment.

Some people just don’t deserve to breathe the same air we do.

Sickening. I can’t help but wonder how he treats his wife and children.....if he has them.

At first glance, I can’t say I blame the guy. My first instinct would be to kill anything that comes between me and my steak, but in this case, there’s a problem....

He shouldn’t have allowed the dog to get at the steak, and if he would have fixed some steak for the dog too, it wouldn’t have been a problem in the first place!

see my post above ...This was the main reason we have such tough animal cruelty laws...these people are sadistic and viscious and the chances of them abusing humans is extremely high.

My dog is well worth a steak, and she did grab one once along with a few burgers off the grill from time to time. I learned to not to put anything near the edge of my grill, but I always cook something for my pooch.

This person is a complete waste of oxygen.

I’ve had labs. If you don’t want them to eat food, you keep it out of their reach. Anytime a dog ate something it wasn’t supposed to, I knew whose fault it was... mine.
