I don't know how this got started but other than the Congress having authorized this award through legislation, they have nothing to do with it in it's specific and individual awarding. A minor point but just an irritation with lousy fact-checking.

Thanks for the suggestion and link. We lived in the area before Cantigny opened so I didn’t really know of it. It will be on my list of places to see. I remember the Chicago Tribune when it still remembered it’s conservative roots.
