Yes Castle is a socialist in my book as well. I would rather risk losing backing a true conservative then let Castle return to the Senate as a Republican. Rove is wrong as I have said repeatedly throughout this thread.
I love a good caste system, don’t you?
Robert Stacy McCain thinks so. He wrote a piece in the American Spectator about it.
The Delaware Fury: Is This Really About 2012?
Whether it's Romney or someone else in the establishment (I think it's Romney because it fits his MO), you simply have to look at a map, the GOP primary schedule and Palin's endorsements in places that just happen to be key primary states to see why TPTB in the GOP is panicked.
Without doing some research the BIG one is, as I mentioned was Specter. Completely unnecessary, completely wrong, a complete disaster as it turned out.
I could also be argued that rallying the GOP around Specter also cost Santorum his seat.
If that one doesn’t betray a statist motive, at least it betrays a serious lack of judgment on Rove’s part.
I don’t hate Rove, I just think he’s got his priorities mixed up. There are a number of other conservatives who echo Rove’s attitude (notably Charles Krauthammer), but I think they’re simply wrong...not evil.
Well, then I guess Rush and I and many thoughtful well-informed FReepers are delusional.
No, on second thought, YOU are delusional, because you are one who mistakes solid, "Hey, wait a minute ... fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice ..." awakening of people (like me) who've voted fearfully (AKA "pragmatically") and been rendered suckers for decades now, and caused the Republican party to move steadily left ... left ... left, for "inane emotional rants." You stupidly and arrogantly equate with mere emotionalism our recongition that "winning" on those terms is the same as losing.
Meanwhile YOU are so emotionally vested in winning at any cost that you count as a win the election of a Republican who will vote with the Democrats; and as far as I can tell ONLY out of pure emotion, would count the election of a person who voted the same but who was registered as a Democrat, as a loss. From where I'm sitting, it looks as if YOU have a delusional, emotional take on the concept of winning and losing.
Thanks for the ping, DioG.
It’s simple. If you control the Senate there are tangible benefits that will help to advance the conservative agenda. Research it.
I have been a member longer than you and am still awaiting my reply.
you stated your case very well.
I disagree and view his comments differently. Thanks for your input.
