They’ll have to make at least two trips. Travolta’s private jet is an old ex-Qantas 707-138B...can’t hold 300 people. Actually, since it’s fitted out (at least partially) as a true private jet, unless they’re ripping out the interior and putting the cattle class seats back in, it holds more like 30 people.

Think of the carbon credits ol’ Johnny will need to buy to offset all those LAX-Australia round trips with that 45-year-old beast! Those old engines aren’t very green, and she really gulps the jet fuel.

Travolta is also checked-out on the 747-400, which he has also piloted for Quantas in several other promotional flights. I'm sure that's the kind of plane that they'll be taking.

By cracky, we were wishing we had those early fan jets, with their fuel economy back in the 70’s while flying with the old turbo jet engines. Air Force never did upgrade until the late eighties, but then got a great deal on an even more efficient engine for it’s tanker fleet.
