While I understand your hesitancy, I'd just point out that Travolta has WAY more flight hours than even the average commercial airline pilot - more hours in multi-engine jet aircraft, and he's checked out on over a half-dozen different aircraft, whic is more than most commercial pilots as well, and he holds an Airline Transport Pilot rating.
I remember reading an article about his first flight for Quantas - he's actually a Quantas employee, certified as a Quantas pilot - that said he had more flight hours than the man who was his co-pilot on that flight, and that was several years ago.
The guy literally lives on an 6K foot runways in Ocala FL. He flies everyday in a multi-engine jet, something that even commercial pilots don't do.
