Yes, massive. Take care. I hope you’re able to get some rest.

My daughter has now moved from the Houston area..but she has had to pump water out there.
Dallas is getting hit much more than Waco is...go figure.

Drenching came earlier.
It rained like hell all day and my yard is flooded.

The dog floated off somewhere.

Pretty wet out here in the Terrell/Wills Point area. No real flooding as of yet, however the ground is saturated and we’ve more rain on the way. It’s raining steadily at this time.

Just to to immediate east of DFW in Kaufman Co. we have needed the rain. I have welcomed this with open arms, a smile on my face and a song in my heart.

That being said, a rural county can take much more rain without flooding than an urban county. Open fields can easily absorb the rain, parking lots and freeways cannot. Prayers going up to all FReepers in harms’ way.

Be careful driving today, especially if you see water flowing across a roadway. Turn around, don’t drown. The few minutes on a commute saved is not worth the cost of any of your lives. Be safe, FReepers.

Waco area just off a tornado warning; have had rain, rain, rain and are expecting more. Particularly interesting in an RV Park. Hope we don’t have more strong bands coming through at 40 mph.

Well, I'm a TX FReeper, but I'm as dry as a bone. ;-)

You're cheating ;)

Not a drop out here in East TX near Lake Bob Sandlin. We would like to have some of that rain out here as 8 or 9 counties south of me have ‘burn bans’.

Rain IS scheduled to arrive...

I've read through the various posts, and I hope nobody suffers damages.

On the flip side. we really need the rain. Last year, the northern portion of Medina Lake practically dried up. There was only a small creek left in the center. Farmers in the Castroville area let their crops die because they couldn't irrigate them. The lake has refilled since spring, but it's still not full.

17 inches in 5 hours?
It ain’t a record but it right up there.
Here in Florida we can get 3 or 4 inches and it will be gone for the most part the next day.
How bad was it for you when it happened and how long did it last.

I’ve been waiting for the Austin totals this morning, but nothing official yet. It was well over 3” yesterday around 4 PM.

Downtown Austin had a new official record 7”+ of rain yesterday. More rain fell during the night.

Ditto. I hope everyone stays safe. My garage will get over it. I might have to replace 6 inches of sheetrock all the way around, but that ain’t no big thang.

Enjoy the rain those of you who need it.

I’m a Blue Jays fan but my favorite broadcaster is Rangers’ Josh Leuwin, so I watched the Jays/Rangers game on Fox-SouthWest. He mentioned during the game it was raining like crazy back in Dallas-FoWorth.
