Just NW of Austin and we’ve got areas with 4-6+ inches already and it’s still going...

We have several river flood warnings all around the metro. The lightening finally stopped for a bit though.

Got drenched earlier. The rain water filled our carport and came within inches of the door threshold leading inside the house.

Was expecting heavy downpours overnight, but it’s quiet out there since the early evening hours. I hear we’re going to get another soaking tomorrow (Wednesday).

I’m northeast of Dallas and it’s now quiet here. Sounds like we won’t be getting much more out of this system. Fine by me. I missed a day’s pay due to the rain today.

Yep. I prefer Dr. Pepper-flavored Coke myself. And after 22 years, “y’all don’t talk funny no more.” :)

There’s no end in sight for Roanoke/Keller/Southlake/Colleyville.

You’re right. I’ll be freeping and pumping water all night and all day tomorrow.

Oh dear. I gathered that you were home today from your back and forth with the Shark today.

It looks like you are about to get hammered in the next 30-45 minutes.

I am only going to post the link to the radar screen, so that it won't blow-out anyone's computer screen who might be on dial-up.

This is the current view.

Yeah, I've been watching the radar all day, and the system seems to be pounding the daylights out of areas west of DFW heading north.

We caught a bunch of it today in Collin County. We had two tornadic cells pass right by us, but nothing touched down until they reached the Celina area (far north of me).

Understood. Will be keeping those on the road and in areas of flash flood risks in mind.

Yep. I'm up now, but I got about six hours of sleep earlier after the major part of the storm passed us. I'll be turning in again for another few hours in a little bit.

I got rained out of a job we really couldn't afford to lose a single day on (darn it). Gotta do something to make up for it tomorrow.

In South Austin (Manchaca & Wm. Cannon area) -- I emptied my 5-inch gauge of 4.75 inches at 11:00pm, then dumped another 2.75 inches at 2:20am, or a total of 7 1/2 inches in about 20 hours.

It's still raining...

Man, the radar pic on that page really puts the size of this storm into perspective. Thankfully, I’m on the far eastern edge of it. Haven’t had any appreciable rain here for the last few hours.

I’m just hoping to catch a break from it tomorrow so I can work.

Well, I'm a TX FReeper, but I'm as dry as a bone. ;-)

I hope you are all safe and will stay that way. I've seen these things come through Houston before and they can be devastating.

Take care, all.

I’m on the far west side of Waco and just am hearing big rumbles..After getting nice rainfall during most of the day..the bands started skirting around us. The heavy rain band is close but not here.
Stay safe everyone..You never know how deep that water on the road is.
My house is up high enough that no flooding ever happens..I feel for those who get flooding.

Locally in west Austin we got 7.01 yesterday and .6 since midnight and it's still coming but we're high and dry. Expect that some of the usual places will get flooded.

I've only seen a couple of videos of low water crossings but they looked very tame, haven't seen nearly the run off I'd of expected but then that was yesterday afternoon.

Yeah, it’s a big one. I’m so sorry you missed work. I truly hope you’ll be able to work today/tomorrow. Yikes, it’s late!
