It's time for Manny to step up

CLEVELAND

In his last act as a Los Angeles Dodger, Manny Ramirez lived down to his reputation for disrespectful, immature behavior. On Sunday, he was ejected after arguing a called strike on the lone pitch of his only at-bat.

Within hours of Ramirez’s all-too-predictable exit, the baseball world learned that he was bound for the Chicago White Sox.

Great news for Manny, right? Here was his latest — maybe final — chance at reputation salvation. Hop on the next flight, say how excited you are to play in Chicago, get in the lineup as quickly as possible and gap a few doubles.

Instead, we’re still waiting for the New Manny to make his grand entrance.

The White Sox have played two games since Ramirez officially joined the organization on Monday. He didn’t appear in either of them.

There still is some fun baseball talk!

Got to have something else to talk about besides our 'disaster in chief'.

Even if Manny doesn't pan out for the White Sox, he sure makes it fun to watch. :)

Would that have been an out?

Manny is garbage and A cancer in the dugout.
A devisive force wherever he sets his hat.
A prima donna if ever there were one.

The probability is greater than 50% that 10 years from now manny will be homeless.

No, in fact it doesn't even count as a plate appearance for Manny. He was ejected, so his replacement gets to step in and pinch hit for the pinch-hitter, and he gets the benefit of starting with a count of 0-1.

I'm so glad this butt nugget didn't come to Tampa Bay . . .

Cancer on the team is right!

The rumors in Boston were that he left uncashed checks lying around his condo and in the glovebox of his car.
I don’t think it is about the money. He is just a wacko.
I can’t wait until he comes back to Fenway. However, the Sox are pretty much out right now(8 games back).

And that is a beautiful thing. Said the Os fan with little to cheer except that we no longer sport baseball’s worst record. Thanks Pittsburgh.

We had our first winning month in several years, though, since Buck took en over. I’m hopeful that we’ll keep our losses in the double digits this year. Talk about diminished expectations.

I’ll be in Camden Yards in a few hours to watch the rubber game this 3 game series.

I’ll be the one wearing orange. Likely the only one :-) I’m going with the guy who got the free tix, my bro in law from CT.

Kool, I will look for you.
I will be at Fenway this weekend. I will be the one with the navy blue “B” hat drinking a $7.50 beer. :)
