Snipes' prison sentence postponed
WENN, August 24, 2010
Wesley Snipes has been spared jail for now; he's been granted a postponement ahead of his looming prison term.
"The Blade" star lost an appeal against his three-year jail sentence in July, after a 2008 trial found him guilty of willful failure to file his income tax returns to the U.S. government.
He was due to surrender to authorities to begin his stint behind bars on September 2 but on Monday a U.S. District Court judge granted him an emergency stay, according to Variety.com.
A new date for Snipes' surrender will not be set until several pending motions in the case are ruled on.
Last week, the actor's lawyers filed a motion asking to question jurors involved in his trial to find out whether they had pre-determined his guilt before the case was heard in court.
Meanwhile, Snipes has signed up to star in a new movie, "Havana Heat," which is due to begin filming in November.
Lindsey Lohan, Paris Hilton, Nicole Ritchie and now Wesley Snipes.
I’m beginning to see a pattern here . . . . . of favoritism towards celebrities.
Note the last paragraph in the article. It explains everything else!
Bad link
One of these things is not like the others.
Secretary of the Treasury?
It goes to the right place. The link is actually http://www.wonderwall.com/ and then select Snipes' picture. It's kind of a strange setup, to me. The source of the article was WENN, but they point you to the Wonderwall site.
Yep. I think Wesley Snipes is taller.
I thought it was because he’s never been photographed getting out of a car without panties on.
Do you have a picture of him getting out of a car WITH panties on? It could be worth a lot of money...unless, of course, it's from that movie "To Wong Fu" :)
Not yet anyway.
Maybe he is bribing the government with money.

"Cannes only happens once a year and jail ain't going nowhere!"
Didn’t pay his taxes? Doesn’t that mean he should get a job with the regime?
That's because they know he's got a job to do first.
First I ever heard of something like this. He must have pretty good attorneys!
LOL! That would be way cool.
Kind of like Buffy the Vampire Slayer meets the Twilight folks.
