My wife is deaf and this kind of crap scares her. She’s told me stories of deaf people being beaten by cops because they couldn’t communicate. She also told me a story about a deaf girl being killed by a gang member who thought she was in a rival gang because she was signing and he mistook it for gang signs.
I’ve just about been shot by a cop at a routine stop for going to retrieve my license and not hearing an order to stop.
