There are other ways to solve this problem. To open the constution to change will simply invite more changes, such as in the second amendment. Too risky to start messing w/ the constitution.

The "anchor baby" thing was not part of the original Constitution. It was added so that the children of slaves would be considered citizens.

It was NOT meant for everyone in the whole world could come here, drop a kid and gain citizenship.

Since we have no more slaves, this rule should go.

True, a Constitutional Convention woudl be very dangerous, IMHO, but a single amendment would work. Hard to get thru, though, which is proper.
