It really was terrible. I was a child and it was during this case that I learned the definition of murder.
I'll never forget how Brit Hume helped in trying to steal the election for John F'n Kerry on election night in '04.
The dinner I am talking about took place before going to the Ambassador Hotel. I guess I’m not being clear. Frankenheimer then took RFK to the Hotel where he had his victory party.
“Let us remember her tonight and tomorrow.”
Agreed, let us remember her, and her unborn child, and the others who were murdered with her.
Even her husband Roman Polanski, who knows, he might not have been led down the course of evil had his wife & child not been savagely murdered. (Flame away, but we’ll never know for sure).
Those were bad days, very bad.
Thanks for posting this.
RIP Sharon Tate and all victims of murder.
That I am aware of; however, my point was that his earlier dinner with Frankenheimer had no bearing on his appearance at the Ambassador and the fact that there was basically no security at the event.
“How do we fit this message onto a bumper sticker for 2012?????
Bill Ayers and charming (/s) wife Bernardine Obamas buddies/neighbors/frequent WH visitors”
Well, that’s already too long for a bumper sticker.
But, finally, after the MSM totally derelicted their duty last time, the word is getting out.
Never give up!
Jay Sebring was famous in the Hollywood sense.
I think we must be missing each other - I wasn’t talking about security, I was talking about the impact the Tate-LaBianca murders had on society. My point being that both Manson and the Polanskis knew many influential people and the murders changed so much in such a short time.
Maybe Roman the molester didn’t want the child, never thought of that but I studied the case from the beginning and was fascinated by it.
I agree with that. The left was infatuated with Manson and his actions demonstrated how idiotic the left can be.
You just described the celebrity story, Hollywood loved it.
Now compare it to the Zebra killings or the Yahweh cult coverage and other racial death cults that have been operating in America without the celebrity hook.
Too bad Charlie didn't stay put in Ohio where he was born and raised.
Why would I want to compare them? Do you really not see that the Tate-LaBianca murders affected the whole country?
Why do you want to attach Louis Farrakhan to a remembrance thread?
I read about the story. Really horrifying. Makes you wonder that some people are just plain evil simply. I have read that Gertrude Baniszewski was plain evil. She was some religious nutcase.
I have read of that. Very disturbing. It was his followers that did the dirty work for him.
I never understood that either. Charles Manson, like Jim Jones, Che Guevara, Eric Harris/Dylan Klebold, and Osama bin Laden are/were leftists.
To remember the 71 dead that you are ignoring, why attach Charlie Manson to a "remembrance thread" because he killed a celebrity?
Without diminishing the horror and the tragedy, what I have always found interesting about that night is what all those people were doing at the cielo Drive house that night the — I thnik they were waiting for a drug delivery, and that is how the Mason people ggained access to the house.
thank you for that summation. I agree with you. To me, Charles Manson is the true face of the 1960s.
