When Ayers was a community activist in Haarlem, he met Barry. He was at Columbia at the time. Ayers brought Barry under his wing, had him working as an activist in Haarlem then brought him to Chicago. That's how Barry ended up in Chicago. He found the black commie they had been looking for...because he really wasn't from the street, he was an elite like them, having been raised in a radical islamic community in Indonesia and having gone to a private school in Hawaii and having gotten free rides to Harvard and Columbia.

Manson did not really kill any of them
I don’t buy it as anything other than a celebrity murder, many cults have killed since then but they didn’t get celebrities, the racial death cults of black America were, and still are much more significant, but they do not get the coverage that the more meaningless celebrity murders of the Manson cult got.
The Manson murders were purely celebrity driven news, not as big as the death of Diana, but far bigger and enduring than the much more important Zebra killings for instance or the almost invisible Yahweh cult killings and others.
Good points. It’s also relevant that Manson was one of the only left-wing murderers that they left wasn’t able to turn into a right wing symbol, like they did with Jim Jones.

(Previous tenants included: Cary Grant and Dyan Cannon, Henry Fonda, Terry Melcher, Candice Bergan, and Gregg Jakobson). Among those at the housewarming party were: Jane Fonda, Roger Vadim, Peter Fonda, Tony Curtis, Warren Beatty, Nancy Sinatra, John Phillips, Michelle Phillips, Mama Cass Elliot, Michael Sarne and many others.
Angela Lansbury had signed a consent for her underaged daughter to travel with Charles Manson and his “family”. Charles Manson gave a ring to Dean Martin’s daughter. He reportedly had a sexual encounter with a grand-daughter of Frank Sinatra. Charles Manson lived in the home of Dennis Wilson. The Beach Boys recorded a song that Charles Manson wrote. Neil Young like him so much that he gave him a motorcycle.

In June of 1968 RFK and his wife Ethel had dinner at John Frankenheimer’s Malibu Beach home with Sharon Tate, Roman Polanski, and Mama Cass Elliot. At the dinner he reportedly said that he would re-open the investigation into his brother’s murder once he got into the White House. Later they (Frankenheimer, Tate and Polanski) went to the Ambassador Hotel - and he was killed.
Oddly enough he was killed by a Palestinian Christian who was associated with “The Process” - which connected him to both Melcher and Manson.

Not purely celebrity driven. I know I was drawn in due to the fact that young white girls were full participants in multiple gruesome murders of randomly chosen victims. I thought that extremely extraordinary (extra extra ordinary).

That is exactly why the Tate-LaBianca murders and Altamont were culturally significant. They exposed the myth that the hippie movement would bring peace and harmony.

Fascinating theory; however, RFK’s victory party was already planned at the Ambassador Hotel.
In 1968 only incumbent presidents had Secret Service protection, candidates did not. RFK had a grand total of three bodyguards, there was no real security at the event and he was known to interact with the crowds. Basically, there was nothing to prevent Sirhan Sirhan from walking up and shooting him.
It wasn’t a victory party. It was a dinner for his political supporters.

If that is truly what she said...let’s see her say it again when she meets her Lord and Maker one day. I don’t think she will be so “cool” then as she has to answer for her vile life in this world. The next one may be a little different for this woman.
