I used to read a lot of stuff over at GolfWrx which has some very good golfers but too many Tiger fan boys though the herd is thinning.

One of the first things that can gowith a professional golfer is the hands in the mid to late thirties. It really screws the putting. One reason for belly putters.

The thing I noticed the most from possible steroids and or HGH is the forearms were massive. He did not have those as a kid. Compare this to diminutive and younger Camillo Villegas who was a gym rat at U of Florida. He is very fit and wiry.

A few other more knowledgeable freepers; one guy a good golfer who was trying to go pro and spendt a LOT of time in the gym and another fellow who posts here had good observations about Tiger.

The one gent today said the arms and stregnth helped him in the rough and the PGA created this android. Hitting out of the rough can be very hard.

The fellow who is a very good golfer (FR) said his size was too bigh for spending endless size in the gym. See the red shirt and fist photo. Someone here posted an example with him having pancake on his head. The arms, shoulders etc are just too big.

hard to say how much he has 'shriveled' or how much he has returned to a more normal state of build .. he looks pretty solid.

you need solid forearms and wrist for sure, especially when ya can't drive worth a darn. ;-)
