When something IS NOT reported, it often reveals quite a bit about those doing the reporting.
Is ESPN in the business of sports reporting, or promotion?
There’s been lots of discussion about ESPN’s Lebron James event over on the “journalism” blogs. Talk that they ‘soiled’ the reputation of the profession.
As if there was any reputation left, for anyone paying attention. Rathergate, the Journolistas shilling for Obama, 60 Minutes on Audi in the 80s, NBC on GM fuel tanks in the 90s, the list goes on and on, and not just regarding politics. The "profession" is full of whores who will say and do anything to make a buck and/or push their agenda, Truth be damned.
Favre is the whore of ESPN like Obama is for the mainstream media. I can’t believe the reporter didn’t print it.
Entertainment Sports Programming Network.
They are in the business of entertaining, that is why it comes first in their name.
ESPN is in the business of promoting, always has been always will be. Anybody that ever thought ESPN practiced any form of journalism needs to cut back on the drugs. Everything they show that isn’t a live sport (the stuff they pay lots of money for) exists to push eyes to the live sports (or not so live semi-sports likes poker).
