Come on. You have two eyes. You have seen it. I have seen it. They call people who like Palin “worshippers” as if to say she is leading a cult or something.

They say “Worship” to demean her supporters. I don’t worship ANYONE except God. I’m a die hard Laker fan, doesn’t mean I worship them(By the way, don’t worry, we will take care of LeBron for you, told you he was a fraud!). Obama supporters worship, he can do no wrong in their eyes, they have orgasms when they see him. I support Sarah Palin, doesn’t mean I agree with everything she does. When she endorsed McCain, I wasn’t happy about it, but I knew she would do it so I got over it. Wasn’t a huge shock, doesn’t mean I was “YAY she endorsed McCain, happy dance time” I was disappointed but what can ya do, she is her own person, makes her own choices, her own decisions.

I've not only seen it, I've said it myself.

What I mean by this being a strawman argument is that no one I've ever seen--ever--has claimed Palin thinks she's a messiah.

I've said this over and over, as each time a breath of contrary opinion is voiced here, the Superfans descend with their crap about trolling and hating.

But I've never once written or believed PALIN is the issue--she's not looking to be worshipped. That doesn't mean she doesn't have what I call Superfans, who can't stand that someoen has a different view.

Saying Palin poses as some messiah is a strawman tactic--she has never done this, and no one I know of has accused her of this.

Saying some people WORSHIP her, that she HAS worshippers--through no doing or fault of her own--is merely making an observation about those who go into a quasi-religious frenzy over any breath of contrary opinion.

I don't think she actively works to cultivate a "cult of personality" like Buraq does, but let's get real, there are some people who are so blinded by her that they approach the level of worship in their support of her.

I fully supported her during the 2008 election and I find her personal story compelling and intriguing. I also don't mock her for her family's antics nor any of the other things the left likes to pin on her. However, I have started to sour on her quite a bit since she's seemed to take a turn toward the establishment Republican side. When you make a criticism of her based on these principles, there's a large number of Freepers who will kneejerk react by jumping your sh*t. Why not call it like it seems to be? It is starting to look like a Republican version of the Obama Zombie syndrome.

To a degreee, I can understand the defensiveness, but you big Sarah fans need to at least recognize that there are avenues of legitimate criticism from the conservative/libertarian side.
