Back during the election of the hanging chads, Florida had another problem on their hands.
In Volusia county, they needed to fill an elected position on the Board of Land & Water. Trouble is, they did not have time to print the candidate's names on the ballots. Voters were instructed to write-in the name of their preferred candidate.
'Water' beat 'Land' by a three-to-one vote.
I am not joking.
I suspect that if the same election were to be held in Kansas, 'Land' would have faired much better.
And I'm not laughing. That's really frightening, and it explains how we got into the pickle we're in right now.
I guess that explains their real estate problems.
