A ‘no-strangers’ policy? How about inviting people she and her fiance actually enjoy being with, and family of the bride and groom? This is one of those times when it is not advantageous to be a child of wealthy, famous parents.
This bash is for her parents, not for her.
Oh, well, at least she will not personally be stuck with the bill, I guess.
