However, wins by Barney Frank in Massachusetts and Nancy Pelosi in San Francisco show that the public still supports Obama’s basic agenda but want a mid-course correction. Exit polls show that the public is confused over who is responsible for the current economic downturn with a large number pointing squarely at the Bush administration and eight years of failure.
