You're right, of course. See how he has turned his entire body to the side and looks sideways back at the briefer - that shows he is giving only partial attention. I would bet a hundred bucks that he is literally facing the door (the way out). His left leg is crossed over his right, furthering the effect of turning away, as if to show his backside to the briefer. Finally, notice his left hand and how he is pointing his index finger down at the ground, as if to signal he wants this event to be over now.

Candy Crowley on CNN Sunday Morning brought up the word 'disconnect' in reference to Obama and the spill.
Even libs are noticing how lackadaisical he appears to be on such matters.
