LOL. It was a pop song, not a disco song. In fact, a lot closer to folky stuff than disco.
rod’s disco days were still in his future when he released Every Picture Tells a story in 1971. Disco did not yet even exist as a music form, and absolutely none of EPTaS sounds anything like disco.
And just for the purposes of accuracy, Every Picture tells a Story (from which Maggie May is culled) is not a Faces record at all. It was a Rod Stewart solo record.
You might be thinking of Rod’s solo song DO YOU THINK I’M SEXY ??? That had a disco beat .
