I'd like to locate a good source of reality concerning the September 11, 2001 attacks on our country. I remember some stuff I've heard over the years but there is bound to be a site on the 'web that debunks a lot of the misinformation and conspiracy junk out there in people's heads.
He gets into an argument with his mother a couple of days ago with this lame story about how the Pentagon was hit with a bomb, not an airliner. Now, I remember hearing people call into radio shows who were sitting in traffic on the highway that runs by the place. The story is there were something like 50 simultaneous calls to police emergency numbers reporting a low-flying airplane passing over their heads and slamming into the Pentagon. Seems like one guy swore he was so close he could see a bearded man at the controls as the plane passed by him.

Usually truthers debunk themselves because they are idiots. However, Popular Mechanics had a good analysis of it.

The book issued by Popular Mechanics is excellent to refer anyone to who has doubts, but is still thinking and open to rational explanations.

Also the military brass to have all those massive high level games going on that day, the Towers became only a small play in a big game.
Ask him what happened to Barbara Olsen and all of those other folks on that flight that hit the Pentagon.
I love to hear the Troofers talk about how they've been whisked away and given new identities or are being kept as secret prisoners, etc.

Ever so often, one of the cable channels, science, history, etc., airs a program debuning these fables. I think it runs about two hours. Think the title is 911 Conspiracy Theories or something like that. They state the theory and then demonstrate why there’s no truth in them.
One theory is that the towers were brought down by controlled demolition. They take a building and show all the steps necessary to prepare it for demolition which pretty much demonstrates that everyone in the towers would have know for weeks it was being wired for demolition.
They even have some of the major conspiracy mongers on the program and ask them their opinion of the tests they’ve conducted, etc. Quite amusing watching them squirm.
When confronted with the demonstration of the demolition requirements, one of them stated that the demonstration didn’t take into account all the super secret explosives that the pentagon would have used. He was unable to name these explosives but was certain that they really really did exist.

Ask any Elevator contractor you happen to know, they're never in any one place that long.
Oh jeeze, that isn’t a missile. just an issue with time lapse so you don’t see the whole plane. But there were dozens upon dozens of witnesses who saw the plane flying low towards it and others hitting it.
You do know that thermite is used in major construction don't you? Especially high-rises and rail (ie subway) as well as for demolition (such as.. gasp.. removing rubble).. Thermite welding/
Usually, when a truther brings thermite up, it shows they have no clue what they are talking about, just like those who say fire doesn't melt steel.
Ask any Elevator contractor you happen to know, they're never in any one place that long.
As any elevator contractor how long it would take to inspect a 110 story building. I'm sure the average idiot you talk to on the internet probably thinks it is a 10 minute job.
