I was actually hoping to see 3 out of the Final Four come from the Original Six.

Sorry but that’s just pathetic excuse mongering. They had the lead in game 7 without him, and started playing scared. They could have won without him. This is hockey, not basketball, no team gets carried by anybody that isn’t the goalie in hockey, and even when the goalie is carrying them they still gotta go score some goals.
Well then I am telling you that the B’s lost heart after the big K was out especially after the Savard saga and had that not happened, the B’s would have won this series. That Said I do not think Flyers will win the Stanley Cup this year.
I was too, until we got a chance for another kind of history. Luckily we can still get an all Original Six final.
You have no clue about what you were talking about with respect to Krejci’s talent. Team’s cannot lose guys like that and win in the playoffs.

And I’m telling you that they got here on more than one guy, and lost on more than one guy. It takes a team to lose heart. And again, they were up 3 goals IN THIS GAME, clearly they had the ability to win the game and the series. Flyers might not win the Cup, but they got further than Boston, and get to be the 3rd team ever to come back from 3-0.

Of course they can. They were up 3 goals in this game. If they can get a multi-goal lead without him they can keep a multi-goal lead without him. And if they really are so thin they can’t win 1 in 4 games without him they don’t belong in the league.

They were not up 3 goals for long come on this was going to be a higher scoring game based on the fact that the B’s got 3 goals at the start....that lead did not last long enough to blow.

There is no way the B’s win more than 2 games in a series without the players they lost. This wasn’t like the 2004 Yankees with HOF players and All-Stars at virtually every starting position. The B’s are really not that good of a team once you strip away a few guys.
Oh, and their coach needs to be fired.

4 minutes. The problem is after they got that 3rd goal the turtled. They were playing hard aggressive hockey to start the game, then they got a 3 game lead and the first thing they did was stop chasing when they dumped it into offensive ice, instead dropping into a 1-2-2 defensive zone. They went into PK mode with 45 minutes left to play, spent the rest of the first and first half of the second in their own ice. And they didn’t start forechecking again until Philly tied it. That leaded lasted 15 minutes, same amount of time it took them to build it. In the 15 minutes they built the lead they got 14 shots on goal, in the 15 minutes it took them to lose it they got 4. They blew it.
In this case it was...and the coach needs to be fired!
