The problem with V is a common problem with modern Hollywood scripts: too much verbalization scripting and too little action scripting. That makes it difficult to find a sustainable audience.
For those wanting an action script, it is boring.

Human Target and Lie to Me also get additional 13-episode seasons next fall.Human Target is a fun romp. Not sure where it's headed, though. Sometimes it comes off as being left of center (big bad businesses and defense contractors seem to be the villain).

I felt a bit like that with FlashForward. Just too many characters to try to keep track of. None of them with any obvious connection to the main storyline. More focus, more action might have helped that show.
