I am truly saddened by Mr. Frazetta's passing.

He inspired me to take art classes and get into comics and fantasy art as a youth.

Sad, but his amazing talent gave him an opportunity to live the good life. I fell in love with Red Sonja and the Moon Princess after seeing his work.

R.I.P. Frank Frazetta. Send us a few drawings of Valhalla.

The best Frazetta image of Conan is the first Ace cover, “Conan #1”. It depicts events that take place in the story “rogues in the house”. He nails that Conan.

Frazetta could throw a baseball over his highschool, it’s all in the hips.

Yeah, the guy could create some vivid scenes and characters - would have liked to date some of his female models.

He did a pretty good job of depicting the Democratic Conventions too:

IMHO Frazetta was the finest Fantasy/Sci-Fi artist EVER! Thank you also for the kudos to Steve Ditko. Spider-man, Dr. Strange (my personal favorite) and so many others would not be here today if not for him.

RIP Frank.

“Have faith! I’ll bet Frazetta considered many talented artists as in the same league as himself.”

You don’t understand! I found Frazetta at about age 13! ;)While I’ll admit there are a lot of talented artists out there in the world, NONE of them match him. Maybe by the time they’ve matured, they’ll approach Frank Frazetta. He was already an established artist when I was born, and as far as I can tell, he started out high, and kept improving. Boris is good, but not THAT good, for example. Frank Frazetta was, IMHO, the Leonardo of fantasy art.

It isn’t the end of the world, mind, you, but it is the end of an Age.

You sure that’s a Frazetta?

Doesn’t even look like a B.Vallejo to me.
