Better than if Jesse Jackson had spit in it. Eeeeeww!
It reminds me of the old joke about the new cowboy on a cattle drive, who has sat down to dinner at the chuck wagon and is handed a plate that is dirty.
“Say,” he says to ‘Cookie’, “Mah plate is dirty!”
“It’s as clean as water can make it!”, replies Cookie.
The cowboy figures that even with the hardship of the cattle drive, that his plate is filthy. Covered in rancid grease, it is downright nasty, and puts him off his feed.
“Yew sure?”, he says. “It looks pretty foul if you ask me!”
“Well, ah didn’t ask yew!”, said Cookie. “That plate is as clean as water can make it!” Then he ponders for a few seconds.
“Here,” he says, taking the plate, “I’ll show you! Here, water! Here, boy!”
Then the trail dog trots up, sniffs the plate, then walks away.
“Thass what I said,” says Cookie. “Clean as water can make it.”
My cats steal food from my plate all the time. Edgar, who is a big male tom, loves fried rice. If I blink slowly or leave the table for any reason...
The first time it happened I threw out the plate. The second time, I tried to trim the edges of where he ate.
After about the fourth or fifth time, I gave up. Sometimes we have a fight over who gets the chicken.
My daughter’s chihuahua is getting braver by the day... he will stick his face in my plate while I am eating now. He isn’t afraid of much.
Now thats disgusting!
Whew, I was wondering why the officers would want to lick a nasty dog.
the dog thinks so too
What secrets do the K-9 patrol dog know I wonder?
Yes, looking at the way my cats clean the plates, I often wish I had a dog to do the job.
LOL! Me too.
Almost anyone can be a cop in S. Florida. Cops fired from other states know this well.
Cats go for quality over quantity.
Me too, I thought for sure we were going to hear some really awful stuff about “dog licking”.
I am very disappointed in the actual story. Shoulda just stuck w/ the headline.
"Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Florida police scandal?"
The world may never know.
