jokull means glacier. for jokull think local jokull to get that word.
break the word down to try to get the hang of it. Try this
Eyja fjatla jokull.
If we did it like the Icelanders we would not say, for example, Rocky Mountains we would say Rockymountains.

Nope that was Norwegian. Though there are some similarities as in Olaf..In Iceland there is an Olafsvik.
