A Croatian girl has woken from a coma unable to speak her native language instead talking in fluent German.
The 13-year-old girl, who lost consciousness for 24 hours two weeks ago, has doctors baffled by her bizarre condition.
She had been studying German at school and watching German television shows, but her parents maintain she was previously unable to freely communicate in the language.
"You never know when recovering from such a trauma how the brain will react," the UK Telegraph quoted KB Hospital director Dujomir Marasovic as saying.
"Obviously we have some theories although at the moment we are limited in what we can say because we have to respect the privacy of the patient."
Various experts have examined the teenager, from the southern Croatian town of Knin, but all have failed to make a diagnosis.
She was initially admitted to hospital for blood poisoning, Croatian media reports.
Tests are continuing.
For example, what if you woke up from a coma with your spouse by your bedside and spoke "בוקר טוב, בן הזוג שלי. מה השעה?" (Hebrew: Good morning, my spouse. What time is it?), how would he / she react?
Note: Hebrew is read from right through to left.
How did you do that? The font?
LOL, incarnation?
Praise be to our Lord for her healing!

Same thing happened to me the morning after the 2008 presidential election.
imagine if she had been at the klingon language camp.
This post goes a long way towards proving our superiority over those moronic and gullible libtards.
Its like people that stutter can sing without that problem...(cannot think of the name of the C & W singer that has that problem...we know next to nothing about the brain and its wiring for many..it has also been my experience that prayer is also affected by some stokes..
Stereotype's about stroke patients are not correct for all, but are correct for some...same goes for brain surgery..
Same goes for singing languages. My daughter, a classically trained soprano, can sing in6-10 different languages, but she can't speak a one of them. If you are a fan of the Scottish singer, Susan Boyle, who was such a smash hit when she came close to winning Britain's ot Talent, listen to her debut album closely. You will hear her sing in perfect English, although she speaks with a heavy brogue normally. Not only that, her diction when singing mimics the singer who originally introduced the song whether it be Madonna, Julie London, or someone else. It's uncanny. For those unfamiliar with Susan Boyle's history, she was oxygen deprived at birth. She has an amazing talent.

Paging Noam Chomsky...
Mel Tillis.
Well, I wasn't speaking German the following morning even though I know German. It was more like a bunch of 4 letter words.
Definitely true. I understand relatively little Japanese, but I’ve picked up a very good ear for it from music and can sing in it with an accent I’ve been told is quite acceptable.
I am not familiar; is she a little "slow" then?
I read in The Sun how folks mock her and make fun, maybe that explains it.
Yes. A little unpredictable and slow. Blessed with a magnificent voice and ear for music.
Hmm, same scenario is a current minor plot point on Lost.
