I have a Dodge Custom 880, 1963.

"My" first car (the family second car) was a '63 Dodge Custom 880: a beige two-door with the 361 2bbl and Torqueflite. The "Tan Torpedo" was a good highway car, very stable (compared to others) on gravel, and altogether a great vehicle for a fledgling driver.

I foolishly convinced the folks to trade it away for a far less worthy car.

Yup. I forgot how nice those boats rode until I met my wife. Her dad had passed away and left her his 1964 caddie which was in mint condition. So we’d take it for a spin now and again. Now them oldies were some real cars! You could pour a brimmin full cup of mud and drive down the nastiest road and it wouldnt spill that coffee anyhow.

The wife got talked out of that car by one of her fathers slick friends-the SOB.
